46 businesses in the city join the certification

On the 1st, Taichung City reported that students at Tanzi Junior High School were suspected of food poisoning. However, in order to continue to ensure that the public can eat without worries, the Taichung City Government Health Bureau held a "Taichung Food Safe" label certification event today, the 5th, attracting 46 food ingredients companies, lunch box companies and public-private lunch schools to join the certification ranks, jointly declaring the slogan "Food Safe", symbolizing the determination to defend food hygiene and safety.

Zhou Wanrou, a teacher at Dongbao Elementary School who passed the certification this time, said that the school has been providing its own nutritious lunches for 17 years, providing nearly 1,400 nutritious lunches to all teachers and students every day. After joining the Health Bureau's "Taichung Food Safe" seal certification, the six cooks can learn the key points of source food management from the evaluation, giving the school's teachers and students an extra layer of hygiene control for their lunches.

Last year, 110 businesses in the baking, catering, and tourist night market industries passed the "Taichung Food Safe" seal, and this year another 46 passed the certification. Taichung City Health Bureau Director Huang Meina pointed out that "Taichung Eats Safely" not only aims to make every business operator understand the importance of self-management of indoor and outdoor environmental cleanliness, personal hygiene, etc., but also provides 5 free pesticide residue inspections and 1 meat inspection to ensure the safety of the business operator's food.
