What are the tests for abnormal uterine bleeding?

There are many causes of abnormal uterine bleeding. When a woman experiences abnormal uterine bleeding, she should go to the hospital for examination in time to diagnose the cause through methods such as curettage, B-ultrasound, fallopian tube iodized oil test and hysteroscopy. Among them, hysteroscopy is currently the most commonly used examination method.

Excessive menstruation, scanty menstruation, irregular bleeding during non-menstrual periods, and postmenopausal bleeding all fall into the category of abnormal uterine bleeding. A large part of abnormal uterine bleeding is caused by disease. Therefore, when a woman has abnormal uterine bleeding, she should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. What are the examination methods for abnormal uterine bleeding?
1. What are the examination methods for abnormal uterine bleeding ? If a postmenopausal woman has abnormal uterine bleeding, a curettage is generally recommended to rule out the presence of a malignant tumor. In addition, a B-ultrasound examination can be performed to determine whether there are some lesions in the uterus. The fallopian tube iodized oil test is also often used in clinical practice.
However, although the above methods are widely used, the missed diagnosis rate and misdiagnosis rate are high, and the type of disease the patient suffers from cannot be clearly identified. Currently, the most commonly used examination method for patients with abnormal uterine bleeding is hysteroscopy, which has a relatively high accuracy and diagnosis rate, and hysteroscopy will not cause much damage to the female uterus. Even young women can do this examination. The cost of hysteroscopy is not high, so it is recommended that patients with abnormal uterine bleeding undergo hysteroscopy and then receive treatment after the specific cause is determined.
How to treat abnormal uterine bleeding
1. General treatment
Mainly strengthen nutrition and improve the overall condition. Severe anemia requires blood transfusion. Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive fatigue during bleeding, and ensure adequate rest time. If the bleeding time is long, antibiotics can be taken to prevent infection, and blood coagulation drugs can also be used to reduce bleeding.
2. Estrogen therapy
Estrogen therapy is suitable for patients with endogenous estrogen deficiency. A large amount of estrogen can promote the growth of the endometrium, quickly repair the wound surface, and help stop bleeding. Generally, hormone therapy can achieve obvious results within 6 hours. If the bleeding cannot be stopped within 4 days, it should be considered whether there is an organic lesion.
3. Surgical treatment
Surgical treatment includes curettage, endometrial resection, and hysterectomy. However, the above treatment methods are not suitable for adolescent patients with uterine bleeding.
