What are the clinical manifestations of dysfunctional uterine bleeding?

If it is anovulatory functional uterine bleeding, the most common symptom is irregular vaginal bleeding without cycles, which can be intermittent or continuous. One of the clinical manifestations of ovulatory functional uterine bleeding is delayed menstruation and menorrhagia. Some patients will have bleeding in the middle of the menstrual cycle or spotting before menstruation, and there will also be symptoms of infrequent menstruation and excessive menstrual flow.

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is also known as functional uterine bleeding. It is a gynecological disease caused by neuroendocrine disorders. Although the patient's uterus does not have organic lesions, bleeding still occurs, usually during adolescence and perimenopause. So what are the clinical manifestations of dysfunctional uterine bleeding?
1. Clinical manifestations of anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding <br/>If it is anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, the most common symptom is irregular vaginal bleeding without period. Its main manifestation is intermittent bleeding, the amount of bleeding can be more or less. Some patients will also have continuous bleeding, the bleeding time can reach 1~2 months, which can easily cause anemia. If a gynecological examination is performed at this time, it will be found that the uterus is of normal size and may be slightly soft. B-ultrasound examination shows that the ovaries are slightly enlarged due to polycystic ovaries.
2. Clinical manifestations of ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding
1. Delayed menstruation and menorrhagia <br/>If it is this type of functional uterine bleeding, the first symptom that may appear is delayed menstruation, which is accompanied by menorrhagia in most cases. The occurrence of this type of functional uterine bleeding is closely related to the delayed degeneration of the corpus luteum, which can easily cause irregular shedding of the endometrium, thus manifesting as delayed menstruation and menorrhagia.
2. Mid-term bleeding <br/>Mid-term bleeding is also a common symptom of ovulatory functional uterine bleeding. After suffering from this disease, before ovulation, the level of estrogen may drop briefly, which may cause breakthrough bleeding. The bleeding time is around ovulation, so it will appear as mid-term bleeding.
3. Premenstrual spotting <br/>Ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding also includes premenstrual spotting, which means that there will be spotting before the normal menstruation. This situation is closely related to the corpus luteum. Corpus luteum defects can lead to insufficient progesterone secretion, but the life span of the corpus luteum is still normal at this time.
4. Oligomenorrhea with excessive menstrual flow <br/>Once you suffer from ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, you may experience oligomenorrhea, but it will be accompanied by excessive menstrual flow. At this time, the patient's follicular phase is normal, but the life span of the corpus luteum is very short, and the cycle is generally less than 21 days.
