A guide to good health! Five rules of life

As the saying goes, "With a healthy body, life is colorful." Everyone hopes to have a healthy body so that they can charge forward in the workplace; or be able to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of the elderly and children in the family; or have the opportunity to realize their dreams. But how can we have a healthy body? It’s actually very simple. As long as you keep in mind the “five rules of life”, you can move towards a healthy life step by step!

It is actually very simple to have a healthy body. Just remember the "Five Rules of Life" and follow them step by step.

Keep a cheerful mood

We should always maintain a happy mood in our daily life. Only by staying happy can the brain secrete endorphins, which not only helps anti-aging, rejuvenates cells, increases cell antioxidant capacity, but also avoids blood vessel constriction that affects blood circulation and causes cardiovascular diseases over time, endangering health.

Balanced diet

The so-called balanced nutrition means that all nutrients should be consumed in sufficient amounts but not in excess. In order for the body to fully obtain various nutrients, it is necessary to consume all kinds of food in a balanced manner and not be picky eaters. In addition, the World Health Organization recommends eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, foods rich in carbohydrates and high in fiber, and reducing the intake of foods high in fat and sugar to improve health. Maintaining good eating habits will help reduce the chances of chronic diseases and maintain balanced nutrition, which is beneficial to health.

Sufficient and high-quality sleep

Sleep quality is very important. When humans are sleeping, the hormones in the body will adjust their secretion and, according to the instructions of the brain, carry out cell repair and recovery work, regulate emotions and behaviors, and reorganize cognition and memory. It is best to sleep 7 hours every night and try to stay away from insomnia. To have a good sleep, you must develop a habit of relaxing before going to bed, such as taking a warm bath, drinking hot milk, or drinking a moderate amount of wine. Avoid drinking tea, coffee, watching TV or talking on the phone in bed before going to bed.

Exercise moderately

Exercise can enhance muscle and bone growth, increase lung capacity, consume excess calories, help maintain a proper weight, improve metabolism, and improve the function of the heart and circulatory system, which can prevent obesity and cardiovascular disease. A good exercise plan should include three activities: aerobic exercise, stretching exercise, and anaerobic exercise. Aerobic exercises such as cycling, jogging, long-distance swimming, and race walking help strengthen the cardiopulmonary function and blood circulation system. Stretching exercises refer to daily stretching exercises that can increase the body's flexibility and agility. Flexibility refers to the ability to easily bend, stretch, and twist the body. Anaerobic exercise refers to short, intense activities such as sprinting and weightlifting. Anaerobic exercise can regulate and exercise muscles, and its energy is mainly supplied by muscle glycogen.

Don't smoke and drink less

There are some bad habits in life that need to be given up, including quitting the bad habits of smoking and drinking. Smoking is not good for the body. It not only increases the risk of chronic diseases, but also increases the incidence of cancers such as lung cancer and colorectal cancer.

Long-term heavy drinking may increase damage to the liver or cause damage to the nervous system, such as peripheral neuropathy. Or it may cause gastric ulcer, gastric bleeding and endanger life. Reports have shown that some chronic alcoholics have atrophy of the cerebral cortex, and some patients also show signs of intellectual decline. Therefore, we should quit bad habits of smoking and drinking to stay healthy.
