Adenomyosis is a very common female disease, and it is not limited by age or sexual life. That is to say, whether you have had sex or not, you may suffer from adenomyosis. For female friends who often suffer from dysmenorrhea, you must pay attention to do a check-up to see if you have adenomyosis. Its typical symptoms are dysmenorrhea and uterine enlargement. So, can you get pregnant with adenomyosis? Adenomyosis can be mild or severe depending on the symptoms. If the condition is not particularly serious, it will not affect future fertility. However, if the symptoms are severe, it may lead to infertility. Causes of infertility due to adenomyosis 1 When fibroids grow toward the surface of the uterus and protrude from it, they are called subserosal uterine fibroids. They are often connected to the surface of the uterus by a pedicle. This type of fibroid has little effect on conception and is easy to remove surgically. However, when they grow to a certain size, compression symptoms appear, which will affect the smooth progress of delivery. Causes of infertility due to adenomyosis 2 This type of fibroid is called a submucosal fibroid, which causes many symptoms, the most common of which are increased menstruation and vaginal discharge, which will have a foul odor after infection. When a submucosal fibroid grows near the inner opening of the fallopian tube or in the upper half of the uterine cavity, it often affects the passage of sperm and prevents the fertilized egg from implanting and developing. This type of fibroid can be diagnosed through vaginal examination, diagnostic curettage, hysteroscopy, hysterography or B-ultrasound. All patients diagnosed with submucosal fibroids should be surgically removed. Generally, laparotomy is not required and it can be removed through hysteroscopy or vaginal removal. Causes of infertility due to adenomyosis Myomas are confined to the uterine muscle wall, called intramural myomas, which account for 60% to 70% of myomas. They can not only affect conception but also often cause miscarriage or premature birth. Usually, these three types of myomas grow together to form multiple myomas or a combination of them, and are less likely to be single. After knowing the answer to whether you can get pregnant with adenomyosis, if you do not have the above-mentioned factors of uterine fibroid infertility, it will generally not affect your fertility, so I hope you don’t worry too much. However, in order to prevent adenomyosis from continuing to harm your uterus, timely treatment is the best way to get rid of the harm of the disease. |
