Treatment of 2nd degree cervical erosion

Treatment of 2nd degree cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is one of the common diseases in gynecology, which troubles many female friends. In clinical practice, erosion area less than 1/3 is mild, 1/3-2/3 is moderate, and more than 2/3 is severe. Second-degree cervical erosion means that the area has reached 1/3 to 2/3 of the cervical surface. If it is not treated early, it will have a serious impact on women's future life. So, what is the treatment for second-degree cervical erosion?

1. Electric ironing method: Use a special electric iron to burn the eroded surface tissue, causing it to necrotize and fall off. However, in the process of treating cervical erosion, it is necessary to reach a certain depth to achieve effective treatment results. When treating cervical erosion, put the electric iron head in contact with the eroded surface and apply a little pressure, then move it back and forth from the inside to the outside until it slightly exceeds the eroded surface.

2. Cryotherapy: This method uses a special rapid freezing device to freeze, necrotize, and fall off the cervical erosion surface. The commonly used cryogen is liquid nitrogen, which can reduce the temperature of the freezing head of the freezer to minus 196 degrees Celsius. It is placed on the surface of the cervix to freeze the eroded tissue, necrotize, and fall off, and then new epithelial tissue will grow. Cryotherapy does not form scars, so cervical stenosis generally does not occur, which is more suitable for women who want to have children.

3. Laser method: Carbon dioxide laser is often used to emit a beam of light to the eroded surface, so that the eroded tissue is carbonized and scabs form. After the scabs fall off, new squamous epithelium can grow. Laser treatment has the effects of anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and promoting tissue repair. In the treatment of cervical erosion, since the laser knife does not touch the cervical tissue, the depth of burning is easy to control. Generally, cervical erosion can be cured once.

Cervical erosion brings a lot of trouble to female friends in their normal life and work, and also poses a huge threat to their physical health. The pathogens of cervical erosion can ascend to cause endometritis, and can spread through the parauterine ligaments and lymphatic vessels to cause chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which needs to be taken seriously.
