Thrombosis test for threatened abortion

Thrombosis test for threatened abortion

Before understanding the thrombosis test for threatened abortion, let us first understand why we need to do a thrombosis test. The blood of pregnant women is more likely to coagulate, which is a self-protection mechanism of the human body. However, this protection mechanism also increases the risk of thrombosis and embolism, and the risk of thrombosis within 8 weeks after delivery is as high as 20 times. After understanding what threatened abortion is, how should we do a thrombosis test for threatened abortion?

In order to prevent thrombosis during pregnancy and delivery, we should check from the following aspects:

1. Assess the high-risk factors for thrombosis through prenatal examinations.

2. Check the venous return of the lower limbs.

3. Draw blood for testing. The blood indicators can be used to determine whether there is thrombosis.

4. Coagulation mechanism examination: It is reported that the measurement of thromboglobulin in the aggregated platelets in plasma can diagnose deep vein thrombosis. The measurement of platelets, coagulation factors and fibrinolytic system activity (euglobulin lysis time, fibrin degradation products and serum fibrin-related antigens) is helpful in determining the hypercoagulable state.

5. Infrared imaging: Infrared imaging is a non-invasive examination method for thrombosis. Compared with venography, this method, assisted by volume tracing, can detect 95% of thrombosis. The consistency rate between infrared imaging and venography is 85%.

Generally speaking, the above tests can confirm whether a person has thrombosis.
