Threatened abortion surgery sequelae

Threatened abortion surgery sequelae

Pregnant women are very worried about threatened abortion, so let's take a look at what threatened abortion is. Threatened abortion refers to a small amount of vaginal bleeding that occurs in early pregnancy and stops from time to time, accompanied by mild lower abdominal pain and backache. After understanding what threatened abortion is, let's take a closer look at the sequelae of threatened abortion surgery.

1. Irregular menstruation: Threatened abortion can have many adverse effects on women. Because surgery can cause a sudden termination of pregnancy, causing endocrine dysfunction and endometriosis; uterine cavity operation can also easily increase the chance of infection, causing endometritis, pelvic connective tissue inflammation, adnexitis, etc. The above factors can lead to irregular menstruation and lower abdominal pain.

2. Breast pain: Breast pain is still felt after threatened abortion surgery. Due to the sudden termination of pregnancy, breast pain caused by surgery may potentially stimulate the breasts for a long time, causing breast hyperplasia or lumps, etc.

3. Reduced menstrual volume: Reduced menstrual blood volume and abdominal pain symptoms. After surgery, the cervix and uterine cavity will partially adhere. A small adhesion area will cause a decrease in menstrual blood volume, and a large adhesion area may cause amenorrhea. If the cervix is adhered, it will be difficult for menstruation to be discharged from the uterine cavity, resulting in abdominal pain during menstruation.

4. Inability to get pregnant: Threatened abortion uses vacuum aspiration to suck out the embryonic tissue and terminate the pregnancy. Although it is a common operation, it may cause complications or sequelae in the short and long term after the operation. Therefore, some women experience menstrual abnormalities or even amenorrhea after the operation, which leads to infertility.

The above are the common sequelae after threatened abortion that I want to share with you.
