What are the preventive measures for adnexitis?

If we do a good job of prevention before we get sick, it will reduce a lot of consequences for us. As for adnexitis, female friends all know that it is a relatively common gynecological inflammation, which is very harmful to health and needs to be prevented as soon as possible. So, what methods can be used to prevent adnexitis?

Because the uterine appendages include fallopian tubes and ovarian inflammation, adnexitis refers to inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries. Since fallopian tube and ovarian inflammation are often accompanied by parametrial connective tissue inflammation and pelvic peritonitis, it is very difficult to distinguish them during diagnosis, so we also classify pelvic peritonitis and parametrial connective tissue inflammation into the scope of adnexitis.

What methods can be used to prevent adnexitis? Women are prone to adnexitis in the following situations:

1. Failure to maintain personal hygiene during menstruation, having sex during menstruation, having multiple sexual partners, or swimming during menstruation, etc., can all allow bacteria to invade and cause adnexitis.

2. When women sit for a long time, blood circulation in the lower limbs will be poor, which will affect the normal detoxification of the ovaries and appendages, and then lead to the occurrence of adnexitis.

3. Clothing that is too tight will cause female excretion to accumulate, causing vaginal inflammation and then adnexitis.

4. When women are infected with gonorrhea, the bacteria will spread upward through the mucous membrane and cause adnexitis.

Since there are so many reasons that may cause adnexitis, how can we prevent it? Experts point out that the following aspects should be achieved to prevent adnexitis:

1. In daily life, you should develop good living habits, keep your genitals clean, change your underwear every day, improve your sexual environment, avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation, pay attention to personal hygiene, and avoid opportunities for bacteria.

2. Your daily diet should be light. Eat more fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water to lower your body temperature. Do not eat raw, cold, spicy, or irritating foods. You can eat foods high in protein, such as meat, eggs, and milk, and exercise more often.

3. Women suffering from vaginitis, cervical erosion and other inflammations should receive timely treatment to prevent the disease from having adverse effects on other organs and causing adnexitis.

4. For women who have no intention of having a baby, they should take contraceptive measures to avoid multiple abortions that may damage the cervix and lead to adnexitis.

Experts remind that adnexitis is a very scary inflammation. It can be serious or minor. In the most serious cases, it can lead to infertility. Therefore, we must learn these preventive measures to stay away from adnexitis.
