Can a little girl's congenital absence of vagina be cured?

Can congenital absence of vagina in little girls be cured? Congenital absence of vagina is generally formed during the differentiation of sexual organs during embryonic development, due to the stagnation of the development of the tail end of the mesonephros. It is often accompanied by congenital absence of uterus, but the ovaries develop normally.

Patients with congenital absence of vagina generally have primary amenorrhea with periodic abdominal pain and are unable to have sexual intercourse after marriage. Their vulva is normal, but there is only a shallow crypt in the hymen and no vagina.

With the development of medicine, the treatment of congenital absence of vagina is no longer a problem. Although many hospitals claim to be able to treat congenital absence of vagina, in general, plastic surgeons only use peritoneum or intestinal mucosa to reconstruct an artificial vagina.

Artificial vaginas in general hospitals are transplanted from intestinal mucosa or abdominal mucosa, which are prone to odor after surgery. At the same time, since the intestinal mucosa and abdominal mucosa lack toughness and do not produce secretions, the sexual experience of couples is poor. Currently, many hospitals use allogeneic vaginal mucosa transplantation to reconstruct the vaginal mucosa of relatives to create a vagina with a high degree of simulation, which can produce secretions on its own, making the sexual life of couples more harmonious. At the same time, according to the symptoms of women, uterine fusion is used to fuse the uterus, so that the pelvic cavity is no longer empty, the waist is stronger, and there is no difference from normal women.

From a physiological point of view, allogeneic vaginal mucosa transplantation and uterine fusion can restore female patients with congenital absence of vagina and imperfect uterine development to a real female body. Generally, menstruation will come about two months after the operation. Patients who recover well can have their own babies and a harmonious married life in the future.
