Factors causing recurrence of cervical warts

Factors causing recurrence of cervical warts

The factors that make cervical warts uncurable for a long time are directly related to the non-standard treatment methods and incorrect treatment methods of cervical warts. Therefore, although cervical warts will not have a very large physical impact on women in the early and middle stages, there must be regular treatment methods for the treatment of cervical warts. The following is a specific introduction to the reasons that lead to the recurrence of cervical warts in women:

First, the treatment of cervical warts is not thorough. Nowadays, cervical warts are mostly treated with physical treatments such as laser, electric perm or microwave. In order to avoid damaging other tissues, the force used in the operation is generally light, the treatment range is limited and relatively superficial, and the diseased tissue at the erosion site is not completely destroyed, resulting in residual diseased tissue, which can cause repeated attacks.

Second, the lesions are more severe. The larger the area of cervical warts, the more likely the patient's condition will recur, and the recurrence rate after treatment will be higher. Generally, mild to moderate cervical warts have a high cure rate and the condition can be well controlled; while women with severe cervical warts have a lower cure rate and a higher recurrence rate. This shows the importance of early detection and treatment for a complete cure of the disease.

Third, frequent sexual activity. After a period of treatment, the symptoms of patients with cervical condylomata have improved. However, if they have too frequent sexual activity during this period, bacteria may enter the vagina, causing infection again, aggravating damage to the cervical epithelium and causing recurrence of cervical condylomata after treatment.

Fourth, the patient is too old. The long-term failure of cervical warts to heal is also related to the patient's age. Generally, the recurrence rate of cervical warts after treatment is low for women under 30 years old, while the recurrence rate is higher for women over 30 years old.

Under normal circumstances, the treatment of cervical warts needs to be selected according to the condition of the disease. If medication is used to treat cervical warts, the cause of the disease must be identified, mainly the pathogenic bacteria, so that targeted sterilization can be carried out. Otherwise, the sterilization may not be thorough, causing repeated recurrence of cervical warts.
