Ectopic pregnancy blood test every few days

Ectopic pregnancy is clinically called ectopic pregnancy. If ectopic pregnancy is found, it needs to be treated in time to avoid endangering life. There are two ways to treat ectopic pregnancy, namely surgical treatment and conservative treatment. After treatment, blood HCG needs to be checked regularly to judge the effect. After surgical treatment, it is recommended to check blood once a week and once a month respectively, while after conservative treatment, blood needs to be checked every other week until blood HCG drops to normal.

1. Surgical treatment: Usually laparoscopy is used to remove the embryo from the attachment site and stop the bleeding. Because the embryo is removed, the blood HCG will drop rapidly after the operation. It is sufficient to check the blood HCG once one week and one month after the operation.

2. Conservative treatment: refers to the treatment method of using embryocidal drugs to kill the embryo and make it shrink naturally. Due to different individual constitutions and different sensitivities to drugs, the effects are different. For some people, the embryo will die quickly after taking the drug, while for some people, the embryo may continue to survive due to insensitivity to the drug. Therefore, frequent blood tests are required to judge the effect of treatment. Generally, it is necessary to check once a week. If the blood HCG does not drop rapidly, or even rises, it means that conservative treatment is not effective and surgical treatment is required.

Patients with ectopic pregnancy must pay attention to rest, avoid strenuous exercise, eat a light diet, and eat less irritating food.
