What are the early symptoms of pelvic peritonitis?

In daily life, many people around us are prone to pelvic peritonitis, which is a very harmful disease. When the human body has this disease, it is easy to affect the patient's physical health and is harmful to the patient's body and mind. Everyone should pay attention to the common symptoms of this disease. So what are the common symptoms of pelvic peritonitis?

1. Initial symptoms: Symptoms of female pelvic peritonitis usually appear within one to two weeks after infection, and the patient may have a history of gynecological surgery. Generally, there is persistent lower abdominal pain with fever at the onset. Some patients have back pain and abdominal distension. If the inflammation spreads to the pelvic peritoneum, the abdominal pain will worsen, accompanied by a rapid heart rate, fever, and a large amount of purulent secretions in the vagina.

2. Pain in the uterus and surrounding areas: Female pelvic peritonitis can cause thickening of the tissues around the uterus and cause significant tenderness. If the patient has pelvic peritonitis caused by uterine surgery, a small amount of purulent and bloody substances will be found at the end of the vagina. If it is not treated in time, the inflammation will slowly spread to organs such as the vaginal tube and pelvic peritoneum, leading to pelvic cysts.

3. Physiological changes: When pelvic peritonitis is severe, it will cause pelvic congestion. Some patients will experience increased menstrual flow, affecting ovarian function and causing menstrual disorders. In severe cases, it will cause adhesion and blockage of the fallopian tubes, affecting reproductive function.
