The main symptoms of pelvic peritonitis

Pelvic peritonitis is a common gynecological disease. Many female friends are deeply troubled by it. What are the symptoms of pelvic peritonitis? Here I will introduce the symptoms of pelvic peritonitis to you, hoping it will be helpful to you.

(1) Menstrual disorders: The first symptom of pelvic peritonitis is irregular menstruation. In the early stage, there may be menorrhagia due to endometrial congestion and ulceration. Most patients have been ill for a long time when they seek medical treatment, and the endometrium has been damaged to varying degrees, which manifests as scanty menstruation or amenorrhea.

(2) Lower abdominal pain: Chronic inflammation causes scar adhesions and pelvic congestion, which often cause lower abdominal distension, pain, and lumbar pain, which are also common symptoms of pelvic peritonitis. They are often aggravated after fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation.

(3) Infertility: Due to the destruction and adhesion of the fallopian tube mucosa, the lumen is often blocked; or due to adhesions around the fallopian tube, the lumen sometimes remains partially unobstructed. However, the mucosal cilia are destroyed, the fallopian tube is stiff, the peristalsis is restricted, and the transport function is lost, and conception is impossible. Therefore, most patients are infertile. This is a symptom of more serious pelvic peritonitis. At this time, the treatment of pelvic peritonitis must be quite timely.

(4) Symptoms of systemic pelvic peritonitis: Most of them are not obvious, sometimes only low-grade fever and fatigue. Due to the long course of the disease, some patients may experience neurasthenia symptoms, such as lack of energy, general discomfort, insomnia, etc. When the patient's resistance is poor, acute or subacute attacks are likely to occur.

The above is an introduction to the symptoms of pelvic peritonitis. Once female friends have symptoms of pelvic peritonitis, they must go to a regular hospital for treatment in time to avoid serious adverse effects on their health.
