Mental factors can also induce dysmenorrhea in women

Primary dysmenorrhea is also called functional dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea refers to pain during menstruation, which is often spasmodic and concentrated in the lower abdomen. In addition to pain, other symptoms may also occur, such as headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, back pain, etc. Dysmenorrhea is a very common disease in young women. Mild dysmenorrhea only causes slight discomfort, while severe dysmenorrhea can affect life and work. Primary dysmenorrhea is not accompanied by obvious pelvic organic diseases.

Many factors can induce dysmenorrhea, such as age, childbirth, mental factors, special occupations and working environment. Women who are exposed to mercury and benzene compounds for a long time, even at low concentrations, have a higher incidence of dysmenorrhea. Cold working environment is also related to dysmenorrhea.

The relationship between mental factors and dysmenorrhea

The relationship between mental factors and dysmenorrhea has been under discussion for many years. Some people believe that mental factors are also important for women with dysmenorrhea. Women with dysmenorrhea often show poor self-regulation, depression, anxiety and introversion. Women with severe dysmenorrhea are more feminine in terms of interests and emotions than those without dysmenorrhea. Others believe that mental factors only affect the response to pain, rather than being pathogenic factors.

From this, it can be seen that women should maintain a happy mood during menstruation or before and after menstruation, and do appropriate exercise to divert their attention, which can help relieve pain.
