How to tell if you have pelvic peritonitis

How to tell if you have pelvic peritonitis

Many women do not know how to judge whether they have pelvic inflammatory disease, nor do they know how to do a pelvic inflammatory disease check. They also do not know whether it is serious or not. However, considering time and economic issues, it is impossible to go to the hospital for treatment as soon as they feel uncomfortable. Therefore, once some problems occur in the body (such as abnormal vaginal discharge, abdominal pain, etc.), they will feel particularly uneasy. After all, there are many people suffering from gynecological diseases now, and they are afraid that they will be the next one. This kind of worry is sometimes necessary and can help everyone discover the diseases contained in the body early, but there is no need to worry too much. Take the period before and after the menstrual period for example. It is normal for the vaginal secretions to increase, but if it is normal, this situation must be paid attention to and medical treatment should be sought as soon as possible.

Here's how to tell if you have pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a general term for inflammation of the female internal reproductive organs (uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, etc.) and their surrounding connective tissues and pelvic peritonitis. It is clinically divided into acute and chronic types. According to the site of onset, pelvic inflammatory disease can also be divided into endometritis, myometritis, salpingitis, oophoritis, pelvic connective tissue inflammation, pelvic peritonitis, etc. The inflammation can be limited to one site or several sites can occur at the same time. Therefore, the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease are also very complicated, and its treatment also needs to adopt targeted plans according to the specific symptoms.

Therefore, if the following conditions occur, you may suffer from pelvic inflammation:

1 Systemic symptoms: Most of them are not obvious, sometimes there may be low fever and fatigue. If the disease lasts for a long time, some patients may have symptoms of neurasthenia, such as lack of energy, insomnia, etc. When the resistance is poor, acute or subacute attacks are prone to occur.

2 Abdominal pain, accompanied by fever. In severe cases, there may be high fever, chills, headache, loss of appetite, and increased vaginal discharge, which is often purulent. In case of peritonitis, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and diarrhea may be seen. If an abscess is formed, there may be a mass or local irritation in the lower abdomen. If the mass is located in the front and the bladder is irritated, there will be symptoms such as frequent urination, dysuria, and difficulty urinating. If the mass is located in the back and the rectum is compressed, there will be difficulty in defecation, diarrhea or a feeling of urgency.

3. Lower abdominal and back pain: Scar adhesions caused by chronic inflammation and pelvic congestion can cause lower abdominal distension, pain, and lumbar pain, sometimes accompanied by a feeling of anal heaviness, which often worsens after fatigue, after sexual intercourse, during bowel movements, and before and after menstruation.

4. Others: Due to pelvic congestion, patients may experience symptoms such as excessive or irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and increased vaginal discharge. Adhesion and blockage of the fallopian tubes can also lead to infertility.

Here we would like to remind everyone that if female friends experience the above or similar symptoms, they should go to a regular hospital for a pelvic inflammatory disease examination in time. Choosing a regular hospital can largely avoid the twists and turns in your medical treatment and get rid of the disease as soon as possible.
