Nowadays, medical technology has improved. If a female friend has some gynecological diseases, there must be many examination measures. However, many women do not understand these examination measures and do not have timely examination and treatment, which results in the aggravation of the disease. Today we will introduce how to check for bacterial vaginosis. (1) Smear microscopy: Clue cells can be found by taking a smear of secretions. Clue cells are epithelial cells with a large number of Gardnerella attached to their surface. The characteristic of clue cells is that the surface of the epithelial cells is rough or has fine particles, as if sprinkled with a layer of flour. The bacteria are Gram-negative coccobacilli. (2) Amine test: Add a drop of potassium hydroxide solution to vaginal secretions. You can smell a "fishy" ammonia release. This is because the secretions contain a high amount of amines, which can release an ammonia smell when exposed to alkali. (3) The culture method should be carried out by separation before culture. Round, opaque, smooth-surfaced colonies with a diameter of 0.5 mm can be seen. (4) Biochemical method: Vaginal secretions are taken for biochemical analysis. Normal women have high lactate levels and low succinate levels, while women with this disease have the opposite values. (5) Fluorescent antibody method: After smear, use fluorescent antibody to stain and examine under a microscope. |
