Does menopause affect pregnancy?

Will menopause affect pregnancy? In fact, it is still possible to get pregnant after menopause. Women's menopause usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, and some women begin to experience symptoms at the age of 40 or earlier. The duration of menopause varies, and it is related to personal nutrition, physical fitness, genetics, natural conditions, social factors, etc.

When women reach menopause, their ovarian function begins to decline, and it becomes difficult to get pregnant or they lose their fertility. As a result, many women mistakenly believe that it is impossible to get pregnant after menopause. However, many "bloody lessons" tell us that it is possible to get pregnant during menopause.

Why can you still get pregnant after menopause? The misunderstanding arises from the release of eggs. Many people think that menopause means no more ovulation. In fact, the decline of ovarian ovulation function does not mean no ovulation at all, especially in the early stage of menopausal transition period, ovulation cycle is still common, and is gradually replaced by anovulatory cycle. Due to the decline of ovarian function, the original ovulation pattern is broken, the ovulation time is difficult to predict, and it may even happen that ovulation occurs more than once a month. Therefore, it is still possible to get pregnant in the first few years of menopause, including within one year after menopause. If you don’t want to receive an "unexpected surprise", it is recommended that menopausal women should still take contraceptive measures.

Ovaries are organs that produce eggs. Menopause means that the ovaries shrink, their functions decline, and the eggs are exhausted. There are two types of menopause in girls. If it is due to congenital ovarian hypoplasia and the absence of eggs, it is called primary ovarian amenorrhea. If it is due to acquired reasons that cause the eggs in the ovaries to be exhausted and amenorrhea occurs, it is called secondary ovarian amenorrhea, which is also called premature ovarian failure.

From this point of view, it is not impossible to get pregnant again after menopause.
