Does adenomyosis cause back pain?

The symptoms of adenomyosis will include certain lower back pain, so you should pay attention to the treatment as soon as possible after the examination and confirmation of adenomyosis. It can be treated surgically. After surgical removal, do not have sex during menstruation. Adenomyosis may cause menstrual disorders and pain, which must be relieved as soon as possible.

Symptoms 1. Signs

The uterus is enlarged, mostly spherical, hard, and tender. The enlarged uterus is generally about the size of a 2-month pregnancy, and occasionally the size of a 4-month pregnancy. A few uterine surfaces are irregular and nodular, which may be caused by localized adenomyoma or uterine fibroids. During the menstrual period, due to congestion, edema, and bleeding in the lesions, the uterus may enlarge, become soft, and be tender or more tender than usual. This change in signs that occurs with the menstrual cycle is of special significance for the diagnosis of adenomyosis.

Symptom 2: Dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea is a typical symptom of adenomyosis, which is mostly secondary and progressive. Before or during menstruation, due to bleeding from the lesions, menstrual blood is retained in the small cysts in the dense muscle layer, causing a sharp increase in pressure, stimulating the surrounding smooth muscles, causing them to contract spasmodically, thus causing abdominal pain.

Symptom 3: Menstrual disorders

Menstrual disorders are the primary symptoms of adenomyosis, mainly manifested as increased menstrual volume and prolonged menstrual period. The reason for increased menstrual volume is, on the one hand, due to the enlargement of the uterus and the corresponding increase in the area of the endometrium. On the other hand, the infiltration of the endometrium and the proliferation of fibromuscular bundles interfere with the normal contraction and hemostasis function of the uterine myometrium.

Symptom 4: Pain during sexual intercourse

Ectopic endometrium in the pelvic cavity often forms nodular lesions in the rectouterine pouch, causing pain when the cervix collides with and the uterus is lifted during sexual intercourse.

Symptom 5: Infertility

A small number of women with adenomyosis may experience infertility.

Low back pain is one of the aspects of adenomyosis, and of course it will also lead to the appearance of some other symptoms. You should not be careless when facing the appearance of these symptoms, and it is best to treat them as soon as possible.
