Does vaginal candidal infection have symptoms of excessive leucorrhea?

Abnormal leucorrhea is very dangerous, especially for female friends after pregnancy. In addition, it is necessary to prevent some problems of candidal vaginitis. As we all know, there are many problems of vaginitis, and candidal vaginitis is also very common. After pregnancy, there will be various discomforts and abnormal conditions. Increased leucorrhea is one of the minor problems that are difficult to talk about.

If there is only an increase in vaginal discharge, which is colorless and transparent, without odor, itching or other discomfort symptoms, there is no need to worry, let alone treatment. Vaginal discharge examination is required during the first prenatal check-up. The most common abnormality is positive Candida (commonly known as mold), which may be accompanied by thick dregs-like vaginal discharge and vulvar itching, or there may be no symptoms. Candida is a normal parasite in the vagina. After pregnancy, the moisture level of the vagina increases. Under the action of high levels of estrogen and progesterone, the number of exfoliated cells in the vagina increases, and the intracellular sugar content increases, which increases the chances of rapid growth and reproduction of Candida. Therefore, the chance of vaginal Candida infection during pregnancy will increase significantly.

For vaginal candida infection found during pregnancy, local medication can be used for treatment if there are symptoms. Since the detection rate of candida in leucorrhea by general saline method is not high (less than 50%), as long as there are typical symptoms and bean curd-like leucorrhea is seen, even if the leucorrhea examination does not find candida, local antifungal treatment can be tried, and the effect is obvious. Clotrimazole can be used vaginally during pregnancy. It is safe and effective and has no adverse effects on the fetus. If vaginal candida is detected in the late pregnancy, long-acting clotrimazole can be used vaginally for treatment once at 36 to 38 weeks of pregnancy. The purpose is to clean the birth canal and avoid the influence of candida on the child during vaginal delivery.

Vaginal Trichomonas infection may also be found during pregnancy, which can be treated with oral metronidazole or metronidazole vaginal tablets. The use of metronidazole during pregnancy will not have adverse effects on the fetus. The US FDA classifies metronidazole as a Class B drug, and the guidelines of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists also recommend that metronidazole can be used safely during pregnancy.

In addition, the increase in vaginal fluid in the middle and late stages of pregnancy sometimes needs to be differentiated from premature rupture of membranes. If you are unable to make a judgment yourself, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

There are still many cases of increased leucorrhea. It is very common for some women to have such problems after pregnancy. When faced with increased leucorrhea, it is necessary to consider some problems of candidal vaginitis. The occurrence of vaginitis seriously affects women's life and health, so you still need to be careful about candidal vaginitis.
