Whether amenorrhea can be cured depends mainly on the cause of the amenorrhea. Amenorrhea is divided into primary amenorrhea and secondary amenorrhea. Secondary amenorrhea can be cured as long as the primary disease is treated. Primary amenorrhea also has different treatment methods according to the different lesion sites and properties. Some congenital malformations may not be completely cured. Regardless of the cause of amenorrhea, you must go to a regular hospital for examination and further diagnosis and treatment. Treatment 1. Western medicine treatment (1) General treatment: Temporary amenorrhea caused by environmental changes or mental trauma can be treated by improving nutrition, strengthening physical fitness, avoiding mental stress and excessive fatigue, etc. For amenorrhea caused by oral contraceptives, the medication should be discontinued for observation. (2) Endometrial tuberculosis: Treat with anti-tuberculosis drugs. (3) Endocrine therapy: Applicable to amenorrhea caused by congenital gonadal dysplasia, impaired ovarian function, hypopituitarism, premature ovarian failure, etc. ① Estrogen therapy: used for younger patients with lower estrogen levels. ②Progestin therapy: used for patients with a certain amount of estrogen secretion. ③ Estrogen-progestin therapy: Sequential use of estrogen and progesterone to induce menstrual-like withdrawal bleeding ④ Induce ovulation: Clomiphene, human chorionic gonadotropin, gonadotropin-releasing hormone, etc. can be used. For those with pituitary insufficiency, HMC (postmenopausal gonadotropin) can be used, 75-150u/day, intramuscular injection. After 35 days of medication, if estrogen has not risen, the dosage can be increased to 150-225u/day. If estrogen has risen, the original amount can be maintained or reduced until the follicles mature, which generally takes 7 to 15 days. At the same time as the last injection of HMG or 1-2 days after stopping the drug, give human chorionic gonadotropin intramuscular injection, 500-1000u/time, for 3-4 consecutive days. However, it must be used under B-ultrasound monitoring to prevent ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
