Precautions for artificial abortion

Precautions for artificial abortion

Before an abortion, you should pay attention to asking about your medical history, including amenorrhea, early pregnancy reactions, past menstrual history, marital history and contraceptive measures, past medical history and current health status.

1. Negative pressure during suction is ≤66.4kPa (500mmHg).

2. If the probe encounters resistance when entering the uterine cavity, do not use force to avoid uterine perforation caused by incorrect direction.

3. When suctioning the uterus, the movements should be gentle, especially at the uterine corners and the uterine fundus, to prevent leakage and residue. During suctioning during lactation, because the uterus is soft, uterine contraction drugs should be used before the operation to prevent uterine perforation.

4. During double uterine aspiration, both uterine cavities must be aspirated to prevent tissue residue.

5. For those with a history of cesarean section, pay attention to the scar tissue during vacuum extraction to prevent perforation.

6. In case of pregnancy with anteverted or retroflexed uterus, clamp the anterior lip of the cervix with a cervical clamp, pull it outward and downward, and try to make the uterus move to the neutral position.

7. Uterine fibroids combined with pregnancy, because the fibroids deform the uterine cavity, the length of the uterine cavity should be accurately measured to prevent leakage or residue. The amount of bleeding during uterine aspiration for fibroids combined with pregnancy is generally high, and uterine contraction drugs can be used before and during the aspiration.

8. For those who have had two abortions in a short period of time, the uterus is relatively soft and uterine contraction drugs should be used during the operation to prevent uterine perforation.
