What physical abnormalities can warn of adnexitis?

What physical abnormalities can warn of adnexitis?

Women should always pay attention to their own abnormal conditions and promptly discover clues of adnexitis to provide favorable conditions for subsequent treatment.

1. High fever

Acute adnexitis patients will have a high fever, which can reach 39℃-40℃, accompanied by aversion to cold or chills, and gradually develop into irregular remittent fever. If the inflammatory lesions are isolated due to adhesion, the patient's body temperature will drop quickly; if the body temperature drops and then rises again, it means that the patient's inflammatory lesions have a tendency to spread or produce purulent lesions, and the pulse rate acceleration is proportional to the body temperature.

2. Abdominal pain

Acute adnexitis often causes abdominal pain, which is mostly bilateral. It worsens during bowel movements and sometimes causes urinary pain, accompanied by constipation and abdominal distension. A small number of patients also experience vomiting symptoms.

3. Lower abdominal tenderness

Acute adnexitis patients have obvious symptoms of lower abdominal tenderness, and in severe cases, they may even refuse to press the pain and experience obvious rebound pain, accompanied by abdominal muscle rigidity. During gynecological vaginal examinations, patients may also find local purulent secretions and varying degrees of redness and swelling of the cervix.

4. General systemic symptoms

Generally speaking, patients with acute adnexitis will have symptoms such as facial flushing, yellow complexion, tachypulse, and general weakness. If the pulse rate does not exceed 100 beats per minute, it means that the disease is still mild. If the pulse rate exceeds 100 beats per minute, it may indicate that the disease course is prolonged and purulent lesions appear.
