The harm of ovarian cysts to patients

Ovarian cyst is a common disease among women. There are no particularly obvious symptoms in the early stages. As the cyst grows, patients may gradually experience dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, infertility, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, etc. At this time, ovarian cysts also cause great harm to the patient's physical and mental health.

1. Cause edema

As ovarian cysts continue to grow and enlarge, the cysts compress the pelvic tissues, causing abdominal swelling, ascites, and edema of the patient's limbs. The ascites is light yellow, yellow-green, or reddish, and even obviously bloody. Sometimes it is turbid due to the presence of mucus or other tumor contents. When the cyst becomes malignant, the amount of ascites is even greater.

2. Prone to miscarriage

Pregnant women with ovarian cysts may suffer miscarriage, especially bilateral ovarian cysts. If the uterus is disturbed during surgery, it may cause miscarriage. Especially for those who are found to have ovarian cysts after 28 weeks of pregnancy, surgery may easily cause premature birth. Ovarian cyst pedicle torsion may cause urinary retention and obstructive miscarriage, and even endanger life.

3. Accelerates Aging

The ovaries are endocrine organs that secrete estrogen and progesterone, and they play an important role in maintaining normal female body shape and function. Ovarian cysts cause severe damage to the ovaries of patients, who may experience infrequent menstruation, amenorrhea, hot flashes, irritability and other menopausal symptoms, as well as atrophy of the internal and external reproductive organs and decline of various body functions.
