Traditional Chinese medicine hemostatic prescription for treating uterine fibroids

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that excessive bleeding is the first stage in the development of uterine fibroids, and treatment should focus on stopping bleeding. The following three traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions are suitable for this stage.

1. Peach Blossom Four Substances Soup

Chinese medicine prescription: peach kernel, safflower, angelica, red peony root, chuanxiong, and raw rehmannia.

Efficacy: This prescription has the effect of stopping bleeding and removing blood stasis, especially for patients with blood stasis type with heavy bleeding, unclean bleeding, dark red blood, blood clots, and lower abdominal pain.

2. Yiyin Decoction

Chinese medicine prescription: Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Phellodendron chinense, Turtle shell, Rehmannia glutinosa, Amomum villosum, jujube, and licorice.

Efficacy: This prescription has the effect of clearing away heat and stopping bleeding, especially for patients with heavy bleeding, prolonged metrorrhagia, dark red blood, dry and bitter taste in the mouth, or sticky blood clots.

3. Anchong Decoction

Chinese medicine prescription: Atractylodes macrocephala, Astragalus membranaceus, Dragon bone, Oyster, Rehmannia glutinosa, Rubia cordifolia, Cuttlebone, Dipsacus asper, and raw white peony root.

Efficacy: This prescription has the effect of invigorating qi and stopping bleeding, especially for patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis who have prolonged menstruation, prolonged leakage, low back pain, and lower abdominal distension but no blood clots.

Peach kernel: It has the effects of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, moistening the intestines and promoting bowel movements, and relieving cough and asthma.

Safflower: It has the effects of promoting blood circulation, relieving menstruation, dispersing blood stasis and relieving pain.

Anemarrhena asphodeloides: It has the effects of clearing away heat and purging fire, promoting body fluid and moistening dryness.

Huangbai: It has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, purging fire and removing steaming, detoxifying and treating sores.

Atractylodes: It has the effects of strengthening the spleen and replenishing Qi, drying dampness and promoting diuresis, stopping sweat and stabilizing the fetus.
