Raw Rehmannia: It tastes sweet and bitter, and is cold in nature. It has the effects of clearing heat and nourishing blood, promoting body fluid and nourishing yin. Wolfberry: Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidney. The Compendium of Materia Medica once described wolfberry as "long-term consumption can strengthen muscles and bones, lighten the body and prevent aging, and resist cold and heat."

Ophiopogon japonicus: sweet and slightly bitter,

It is slightly cold in nature and has the effects of nourishing yin, promoting body fluid, moistening the lungs and clearing the heart. It is mainly used to treat dry cough due to lung dryness, tuberculosis due to yin deficiency, sore throat due to throat numbness, thirst due to loss of body fluid, internal heat and thirst, restlessness and insomnia, dry intestines and constipation.

Toosendan fruit: bitter in taste and cold in nature, it is a commonly used Qi-moving medicine in clinical practice. It has the functions of relieving liver heat, promoting Qi movement and relieving pain, removing dampness and heat, clearing liver fire, relieving pain and killing insects.

Gardenia: It tastes bitter and is cold in nature. It is a commonly used heat-clearing and fire-purging medicine in clinical practice. It has the effects of purging fire and relieving restlessness, clearing heat and removing dampness, cooling blood and detoxifying.
