Angelica Medicinal Diet Suitable for Patients with Dysmenorrhea

Diet therapy is very effective in treating dysmenorrhea. Generally, you should pay special attention to your diet intake 3 to 5 days before menstruation and take more of the following angelica medicinal food.

1. Angelica, ginger and mutton soup

Ingredients: 30 grams of angelica, 30 grams of ginger, and 500 grams of mutton.

Method: Put angelica and ginger into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water, cut the mutton into strips and put them into the pot, boil over high heat, remove the foam, and simmer over low heat for about 1.5 hours. When the mutton is cooked, you can drink the soup and eat the meat. If women are more resistant to the smell of mutton, you can add appropriate amount of rice wine when simmering over low heat.

2. Danggui Yuanhu Rice Porridge

Ingredients: 30 grams of angelica, 30 grams of Yuanhu, 50 grams of polished rice, and appropriate amount of brown sugar.

Method: Put angelica and Corydalis into a pot, add appropriate amount of water, boil for 20 minutes, take 800 ml of the juice, put it into a casserole together with the japonica rice, boil over high heat, add appropriate amount of brown sugar according to personal taste, stir, and use low heat to simmer until the rice is cooked and the soup is thick before serving.

3. Danggui Huangqi Baiyin

Ingredients: 10 grams of Angelica sinensis, 15 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 15 grams of White Peony Root, 5 grams of Mugwort, and 15 grams of Millettia reticulata.

Method: Grind the above ingredients together into fine powder, take 10 grams each time, add appropriate amount of brown sugar according to personal taste and drink with water.

TIPS: Angelica sinensis is a Chinese medicinal material of the Umbelliferae family, which has the effects of nourishing blood and activating blood circulation, regulating menstruation and relieving pain, and moistening the intestines and promoting bowel movements.
