Qi stagnation and blood stasis Depression or emotional problems can lead to stagnation of the liver meridian, stagnation of qi and blood, and poor blood circulation.
Damp-heat stasis If there is dampness and heat, or the residual blood has not been cleared during menstruation or after childbirth, and sexual intercourse is not controlled, it will lead to infection with dampness and heat or dampness and toxicity. The dampness and heat and toxicity will block the uterine vessels, affecting the circulation of qi and blood in the uterine vessels, resulting in poor flow of the uterine vessels.

Kidney deficiency and blood stasis Congenital deficiency of kidney qi, or early marriage, and excessive sexual intercourse damage kidney qi, resulting in imbalance of Chong and Ren qi and blood, and obstruction of uterine vessels; or qi deficiency and blood stasis, or inability to transport eggs, and the fertilized egg cannot reach the uterus in time.
Broken Qi deficiency and blood stasis It solidifies the fetus and the placenta, damages the placenta network, causes the network to rupture and bleed, and the blood that leaves the meridians accumulates in the lower abdomen, where it gathers and forms blood stasis, or blood loss and qi consumption can lead to qi deficiency and blood stasis.

Qi and blood exhaustion The pregnancy causes the fetus to gradually grow, bursting the blood vessels, causing blood to overflow outside the vessels. The blood does not return to the meridians and causes heavy bleeding. The blood loss consumes Qi, and the loss of Qi along with the blood can cause Qi and blood collapse or sudden collapse.
Symptoms, paralysis, and stasis Due to damaged blood vessels, blood overflows into the lower abdomen, gathers and forms blood stasis. If the blood stasis does not dissipate, it will accumulate over time and become a disease, and the stasis will form scars in the blood vessels or lower abdomen.

Pathogenesis It can cause the fertilized egg to be blocked, or it cannot be transported to the uterus in time, resulting in a blockage of the uterine blood vessels. Although the fertilized egg has not been bred in the uterus, there is a period of amenorrhea because of pregnancy; because the fertilized egg is outside the uterus, it blocks the uterine blood vessels, and the blood circulation is not smooth, so there is a dull pain in the lower abdomen; the fertilized egg is stuck in the uterine blood vessels, so a mass can be felt locally; the fertilized egg is stuck outside the organs, and its growth is blocked, so it is restless or dead, and there is vaginal bleeding.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the cause of ectopic pregnancy is the obstruction of blood circulation in the uterine vessels, which prevents the embryo from reaching the uterus. Traditional Chinese medicine divides ectopic pregnancy into the following types according to the causes:
