Knowledge about the treatment of cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is not a disease. During adolescence and pregnancy, due to the increase in estrogen levels, the columnar epithelium of the cervical canal proliferates and moves outward, and the external cervical opening is red. At this time, no treatment is needed. When women with cervical erosion have symptoms such as abnormal secretions and contact bleeding, appropriate treatment measures need to be taken. At present, there are many methods for clinical treatment of cervical erosion, which can be roughly divided into drug treatment and physical therapy. The specific contents include:

Drug treatment: There are many kinds of drugs for treating cervical erosion, and they are generally suitable for patients with smaller erosion surface and shallower inflammatory infiltration. Simple drug treatment mainly includes external and internal drugs, among which external drugs are mainly suppositories and lotions, such as 10% to 20% nitrates, potassium permanganate, etc. However, it should be noted that long-term use of drug treatment can cause bacterial resistance, vaginal dryness, and increase the difficulty of treatment; at the same time, drug treatment also has the possibility of recurrence.

Physical treatment: With the development of various technologies, new physical treatment products and equipment are introduced every year. The main treatment methods include microwave, laser, freezing, etc. Physical treatment of cervical erosion has the characteristics of definite efficacy and high cure rate, but these methods are destructive treatments, and problems such as vaginal discharge after surgery are not easy to solve, or scars left after surgery may cause postoperative bleeding, infection, cervical stenosis, and even secondary infertility. You should be careful when choosing.

In addition to the above treatments, cervical erosion can also be treated with traditional Chinese medicine.
