Treatment of cervical erosion should be treated differently

Cervical erosion can be divided into many types according to different situations. It can be divided into three categories according to the area of erosion: mild, moderate and severe. Clinical treatment should take targeted treatment measures based on the patient's specific situation and cannot be generalized.

1. Mild cervical erosion

It means that the erosion area occupies less than 1/3 of the total area of the cervix. Most patients are asymptomatic, or only show increased vaginal discharge. Generally, no special treatment is required, but regular observation is required.

2. Moderate cervical erosion

It means that the erosion area accounts for 1/3 to 2/3 of the total area of the cervix. The main symptoms of patients are increased leucorrhea, yellow color, sticky and smelly; it can also cause vaginal itching and contact bleeding during sexual intercourse, etc. At present, there are many treatment methods, mostly physical therapy, such as laser, freezing, microwave, infrared, BBT self-coagulation knife, etc. Patients should choose the treatment method suitable for their own condition under the guidance of professional doctors to prevent recurrence.

3. Severe cervical erosion

It means that the erosion area exceeds 2/3 of the total area of the cervix. The patient will experience an increase in leucorrhea that is thick and has blood streaks in it, and irregular vaginal bleeding can also be seen. Although cervical erosion is not a precursor to cervical cancer and has no direct relationship with cervical cancer, when the area of cervical erosion in women is large, they are relatively susceptible to human papillomavirus infection, so they should be actively treated. Traditional treatment methods are not effective and the course of treatment is long, so an electric knife can be used to cut the eroded tissue to achieve the purpose of treatment.
