What are the symptoms caused by vulvar leukoplakia

With the increasing pressure of life and work for women in recent years, irregular daily routines have led to a gradual increase in the number of women suffering from vulvar leukoplakia. The lesions of vulvar leukoplakia patients are mostly located between the clitoris, labia minora and the inner groove of the labia majora. In severe cases, the vulvar skin, mucosa and perianal skin may be affected. Vulvar leukoplakia can cause vulvar itching, abnormal leucorrhea, vulvar burning and tingling, etc.

1. Cause vulvar itching: Most patients may experience vulvar itching, some are mild, some are severe, and even cause skin rupture due to scratching. Some patients have itching mostly outside the vaginal opening, and some have itching outside the anus.

2. Causes abnormal vaginal discharge: Some patients also have symptoms of excessive vaginal discharge, but excessive vaginal discharge may also be caused by other diseases, such as trichomonas vaginitis, candidal vaginitis or cervicitis, etc. A small number of patients have ulcers in the vulvar lesions.

3. Causes burning and tingling sensation in the vulva: This is more common in older women, generally 15% to 20% of patients experience this condition. The burning and tingling sensations are not easy to disappear during the treatment process.

4. Causes skin thickening: Leukoplakia vulvae can also cause skin thickening in patients, which is localized or diffuse white patches or spots, distributed in the labia majora and minora, and generally not in the vestibule. If the disease lasts for a long time and is more serious, the labia majora and minora may disappear, the urethral opening may atrophy, severe urinary incontinence, and difficulty in sexual life may occur.
