Sitting for a long time can cause cervical erosion in women

Cervical erosion is not a disease, but a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. In foreign countries, patients with mild inflammation are generally not treated, but only undergo cytological screening and receive corresponding treatment based on the cytological results. However, when patients have other symptoms, such as increased secretions, stickiness, odor, or contact bleeding, they should not only receive timely treatment, but also pay attention to care in daily life to prevent the erosion area from increasing or deepening. Avoiding long periods of sitting is one of the care methods.

Long-term sitting and lack of activity can induce a variety of diseases, such as hemorrhoids, cervical spondylosis, inflammation of the female reproductive system, etc. If cervical inflammation occurs, it may manifest as cervical erosion. The main reasons for cervical erosion caused by long-term sitting include: slowed blood return and obstruction of venous return in the body, such as obstruction of pelvic venous return, leading to pelvic congestion, and insufficient blood circulation in the appendages and cervix, which may cause cervical erosion; at the same time, the female genitals are moist all year round. If they can be fully ventilated and breathable, the possibility of gynecological diseases can be reduced. However, when sitting for a long time, the ventilation and air permeability of the genitals are poor, which can easily lead to bacterial growth, and then cause cervical erosion.

Therefore, women should be careful to avoid long-term sitting. Workers who have to sit for long periods of time due to the nature of their work can avoid "sitting syndrome" by taking some small actions, such as getting up regularly to stretch their bodies, moving their hands, feet, shoulders and necks, etc., to reduce the incidence of various diseases.
