Common misunderstandings after abortion

Common misunderstandings after abortion

In real life, many women do not know enough about abortion and have many misunderstandings. Improper care affects their body recovery and reduces their quality of life. The main misunderstandings include the following:

1. You will not get pregnant if you have sex within 1 month after abortion

Generally, women need 6 weeks, or 42 days, after giving birth, to have sex only when the uterus and body have recovered well after examination. In theory, abortion is the same as childbirth. The ovaries are in a "resting state" for a period of time, making it difficult to conceive. However, if a woman is in the ovulation period at this time, she can get pregnant again. Therefore, patients should not have a fluke mentality and should take precautions to avoid getting pregnant again. For any form of abortion, pregnancy and childbirth should be considered six months after the operation.

2. No need to rest after painless abortion

Painless abortion refers to an artificial abortion performed by a gynecologist after the anesthesiologist has given the pregnant woman general anesthesia. The patient does not feel pain during the operation, and the entire operation only takes 3 to 5 minutes to complete. After the pregnant woman regains consciousness after the operation, she can leave on her own 30 minutes later. However, it is the advantages of painless abortion that make many women believe that painless abortion is less harmful and does not require rest after the operation. In fact, this understanding is wrong. No matter which method a woman uses to terminate the pregnancy, it will cause endocrine changes and cause damage to the body. Therefore, even if it is a painless abortion, you should pay attention to rest after the operation, and you should also pay attention to diet to promote the recovery of the body. At the same time, if the patient has abdominal pain, low fever or more bleeding than the menstrual volume after the operation, he should contact the doctor in time.
