What tests should be done for irregular menstruation

Irregular menstruation is a common gynecological disease that can cause headaches, dizziness, pigmentation, and acne in women. It can also be a sign of infertility, so it should be taken seriously. Doctors' examinations and related auxiliary examinations can help diagnose the disease, clarify the cause, understand the condition, and assist in treatment.

1. General examination

First, the doctor should inquire about the patient's medical history in detail, and the patient should provide the doctor with information as accurately as possible to facilitate the search for the cause of the disease; a comprehensive physical examination should be performed to determine whether there is any systemic disease; and a pelvic examination should be performed to initially understand whether there are any deformities, tumors, or inflammation in the reproductive organs.

2. Auxiliary examination

Ultrasound examination: B-ultrasound can reflect the condition of the uterus, ovaries and pelvic cavity, and help to understand whether the above organs have any deformities, tumors or inflammation.

Cytological examination: Since malignant tumor cells are more likely to fall off from their original position than normal cells, cytological examination can be used to identify the properties of tumor cells or tissue particles, thereby excluding malignant lesions. It can also check the function of the ovaries.

Biopsy: It is accurate and reliable, can provide timely diagnosis and determine the nature of the lesion, and is mostly used for the diagnosis of tumors.

Endocrine measurement: A simple method used clinically to understand ovarian function, including the measurement of pituitary gonadotropin, prolactin, hormones secreted by the thyroid, ovaries and adrenal glands, etc. The methods include vaginal smear, basal body temperature measurement, etc.

Hysterosalpingography: It can be used to understand the conditions of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes, such as whether there are submucosal fibroids or polyps in the uterus, whether the fallopian tubes are blocked, etc.

Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy: Observing the uterus and pelvic organs through hysteroscopy and laparoscopy has the advantages of being intuitive and accurate.
