During sexual intercourse, the cervix and penis are in direct contact. When the penis stimulates the cervix, it may cause bleeding and pain.

If a woman is found to have cervicitis, she should actively undergo examination and treatment. Sexual intercourse during treatment will affect the treatment effect and increase the infection rate. Therefore, it is recommended that women with cervicitis refrain from sexual intercourse during the treatment of chronic cervicitis. This may aggravate the inflammation and even cause female infertility.
