Women are prone to dysmenorrhea in summer because they want to stay cool

Irregular menstruation is a common gynecological disease. Any disorder of the menstrual cycle, prolonged or shortened menstruation, increased or decreased bleeding, abnormal menstrual quality and color, or uncomfortable symptoms such as dysmenorrhea can be called irregular menstruation. In the midsummer season every year, the number of women with irregular menstruation symptoms will increase significantly. Why is this?

Wang Wenjin, former director of the Department of Gynecology at Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, pointed out that many women have irregular menstruation in summer because they seek coolness to cool off and have unreasonable lifestyles. Many young women like to wear backless and navel-baring clothes in summer and like to wear sandals barefoot. When the heat is unbearable, many people also drink a lot of cold drinks and frozen beverages. Some even take cold showers every day and sleep with air conditioners on every night. These bad living habits will lead to external exposure to cold wind, which will cause cold air to condense in the uterus, leading to endocrine disorders, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, etc.

Chief Physician Wang Wenjin reminded that once irregular menstruation occurs, it must not be delayed and treatment should be sought as soon as possible. Shanghai-style Chinese medicine has great advantages in treating various menstrual diseases. Generally, it starts with the liver, spleen, and kidney at the same time, and harmonizes the qi and blood and smoothes the menstruation by tonifying the kidney, strengthening the spleen, and regulating the liver. In addition, with menstruation regulation as the guide, it treats fibroids, cysts, endometriosis, etc. through methods such as "tonifying the kidney and strengthening the spleen" and "removing blood stasis and dispersing knots". The clinical effect is also outstanding. Women with related problems may wish to pay attention to it.
