Female compatriots should always pay attention to the dangers of pelvic inflammatory disease

Many women suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease. For these patients, because they do not pay attention to the harm of pelvic inflammatory disease , they do not actively seek treatment. The harm of pelvic inflammatory disease is generally very serious. Let us take a look at the harm of pelvic inflammatory disease.

1. Recurrent attacks: Clinical studies have found that about 25% of pelvic inflammatory disease patients will have recurrent attacks, which is one of the hazards of pelvic inflammatory disease. The reason is that pelvic inflammatory disease causes damage to the fallopian tube tissue structure; if the patient is still under the same high-risk factors, it may cause pelvic inflammatory disease to be infected again, leading to recurrent attacks.

2. Pelvic inflammatory disease can easily turn into chronic pelvic pain. About 20% of acute pelvic inflammatory disease will leave chronic pelvic pain. Chronic pelvic pain often occurs 4-8 weeks after the acute pelvic inflammatory disease. When pelvic inflammatory disease occurs once, the rate of chronic pelvic pain is 12%, and when it occurs more than 3 times, the chance of suffering from chronic pelvic pain increases to 67%.

3. Pelvic inflammatory disease can easily lead to infertility. The incidence of infertility after pelvic inflammatory disease is 20%-30%. The incidence of infertility is related to the number of pelvic inflammatory disease attacks. Relevant studies have shown that in the first attack of pelvic inflammatory disease, the minimum infertility rate is 8% and the maximum infertility rate is 13%. The minimum infertility rate for the third attack is 40% and the maximum infertility rate is 60%.

4. Pelvic inflammatory disease can easily lead to ectopic pregnancy. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy after pelvic inflammatory disease is 8-10 times that of normal women. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is also related to the number of pelvic inflammatory disease attacks. Relevant studies have shown that the incidence of ectopic pregnancy during the first attack of pelvic inflammatory disease is 6%, the second attack is 12%, and the third attack is 22%.

The above information is an introduction to the dangers of pelvic inflammatory disease. I believe that all female compatriots should understand it. After understanding the dangers of pelvic inflammatory disease, once the disease is discovered, it must be treated in time to avoid further harm of pelvic inflammatory disease or even endangerment to our lives. Finally, I wish the patients a speedy recovery.
