How is adnexitis diagnosed?

How is adnexitis diagnosed?

Adnexitis is a disease suffered by most women in life, and the occurrence of adnexitis is increasing in life. So, what are the common examination and diagnosis methods for adnexitis ? Let's learn about it from the following article.

1. When adnexitis occurs, a high fever of 39-40℃ may occur, with chills or shivering, followed by irregular remittance fever. If the inflammatory lesions are isolated due to adhesion, the body temperature can drop quickly; if the high fever drops once and then rises again, it indicates that the inflammation of adnexitis has spread or purulent lesions have occurred. Therefore, this can be used as one of the examination and diagnosis methods for adnexitis.

2. Abdominal pain can also be used as one of the diagnostic criteria for adnexitis. Initially, it is limited to the lower abdomen, mostly bilateral, and rarely vomiting. Unlike the metastatic pain of appendicitis, the abdominal pain is aggravated during bowel movements. Patients with adnexitis sometimes have urinary pain, often constipation, abdominal distension, and mucus in the stool, which is the result of inflammatory stimulation of the colon wall.

3. Patients with acute adnexitis have flushed faces, their general condition is good and their pulse does not exceed 100 beats/min. If the disease progresses and purulent lesions are present, their general condition deteriorates, they become weak, their pulse is >100 beats/min, they sweat, and their complexion becomes yellow.

The above is a description of the diagnosis of adnexitis. I believe it can help everyone understand the knowledge of adnexitis and control the condition of adnexitis in time. If you have other questions about adnexitis, you can contact our online experts to answer your questions.
