Experts explain the causes of secondary dysmenorrhea

Secondary dysmenorrhea is relatively rare among dysmenorrhea patients, but it is very harmful to female friends and is very unfavorable to patients with secondary dysmenorrhea. What are the causes of secondary dysmenorrhea ? Let the experts tell you about the causes of secondary dysmenorrhea.

In general, the common causes of secondary dysmenorrhea are:

① Endometriosis: It is a common cause of secondary dysmenorrhea, which is more common in middle-aged women aged 30 to 45. It is caused by the endometrium running outside the uterus and "setting up camp". It is affected by ovarian hormones and thickens and bleeds. Since it does not flow out of the body, it stimulates the surrounding tissues, causing uterine muscle contraction or tissue fibrosis, which induces dysmenorrhea.

② Uterine adenomyoma: It is more common in women over 40 years old, multiparous women, and women who have had multiple abortions and curettages. It is also a common cause of secondary dysmenorrhea.

③ Cervical or uterine cavity adhesions: more common in patients with repeated abortions, endometrial tuberculosis, etc.

④ Reproductive tract malformation: mechanical obstruction such as excessive anteversion of the uterus and vaginal septum, which makes menstrual blood flow poorly and causes blood accumulation and induces secondary dysmenorrhea

⑤ Pelvic inflammation: It is also a common cause of secondary dysmenorrhea. It causes persistent pain in the lower abdomen, which may radiate to the waist, and is sometimes accompanied by a feeling of heaviness and distension in the anus.

The above is an introduction to the common causes of secondary dysmenorrhea. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Once you suffer from secondary dysmenorrhea, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid missing the best time for treatment.
