Introduction: Two common symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia

With the improvement of women's social status, many gynecological diseases have become the focus of people's attention, and vulvar leukoplakia is one of them. What are the common symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia ? Here we will tell you about the common symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia.

In general, common symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia include:

1. Hyperplastic dystrophy

It usually occurs in women in their 30s and 60s. The symptoms of this type of vulvar leukoplakia are unbearable itching of the vulva, accompanied by local pain after scratching. The range of lesions varies, mainly affecting the labia majora, the interlabial groove, the clitoral hood and the posterior symphysis, and are often symmetrical. Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia include leathery thickening of the skin, raised wrinkles, or scaly, eczematous changes. The color of the vulva is mostly dark red or pink, with clearly defined white patches. There is generally no atrophy or adhesion.

2. Lichen sclerosus dystrophy

It can occur at any age, including girls under 10 years old, but it is more common in women around 40 years old. The main symptoms of this type of vulvar leukoplakia are itching in the lesion area, but it is generally much milder than the symptoms of hyperplastic vulvar leukoplakia. In the late stage, sexual intercourse becomes difficult. The lesions involve the skin, mucous membranes and perianal skin of the vulva. The clitoral foreskin, labia minora, and posterior symptom site are common sites for the symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia. In addition to the symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia such as whitening and thinning of the skin or mucous membrane, dryness and easy cracking, and loss of elasticity, the clitoris is often atrophied and adhered to the foreskin, and the labia minora is flat and disappears.

The above is an introduction to the common symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Once the symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia appear, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid delaying treatment.
