Causes of vulvar leukoplakia

Vulvar leukoplakia is closely related to the liver, kidney and spleen. The mechanism is as follows: the liver meridian goes around the genitals and stores blood; the kidney governs reproduction and opens to the two genital organs; the spleen governs muscles. Symptoms and characteristics: Vulva skin turns white, dry and dull, with wrinkles and cracks, and it itches severely at night.

(ii) Liver and kidney yin deficiency due to long-term illness or old age and physical weakness, liver and kidney deficiency or excessive sexual activity, kidney essence is damaged, both essence and blood are damaged, and the skin cannot be moisturized, resulting in dry vulva. Symptoms and characteristics: itching in the genitals, which is more severe at night, atrophy of the vulva, dry and brittle lesions, and in severe cases, the labia majora is flat, the labia minora disappears, and the vaginal opening is reduced.

(III) Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency Yang deficiency in the body or due to other reasons, kidney yang is damaged. Yang deficiency causes internal coldness, coldness in the Chong and Ren meridians, loss of warmth in the genitals, stagnation of yang coldness in the genitals, obstruction of qi and blood circulation, and thus discoloration and atrophy of the vulva skin. Symptoms and features: The vulva skin turns white, with alternating atrophy, thickening and roughness.

Symptoms and features: hypopigmentation, roughness, wrinkles, redness, swelling and itching of the genital skin and mucosa, yellow discharge from scratched areas, changes similar to dampness syndrome, local burning pain, and excessive yellow and smelly vaginal discharge.

(4) Irregular menstruation combined with vulvar leukoplakia: Both are related to endocrine disorders. Once confirmed in clinical practice, oral medication should be added.

(8) Trauma (birth injury): The perineum of a pregnant woman may be torn during childbirth, causing local neurovascular damage. A small number of women may develop vulvar leukoplakia as a result.
