What happens if cervical precancerous lesions are not treated?

What happens if cervical precancerous lesions are not treated?

For patients with cervical precancerous lesions, if they are not treated and the factors that cause cervical cancer continue to exist, they will progress to cervical cancer, and even cancer cells will spread throughout the body, thus developing into mid-to-late stage cervical cancer, with vaginal bleeding, rice-like or bloody leucorrhea, body-wide pain, abdominal effusion, and abdominal distension. Due to the popularity of cervical cancer screening, cervical cancer and precancerous lesions can be detected and treated early, and their incidence and mortality rates have dropped significantly. If cervical cancer is not treated, it is difficult to survive for more than 1 year, so patients should be treated early and not delay the disease.

Is HPV-positive high-risk type of cervical cancer serious?

High-risk HPV58 is positive, and no U-body appears. It has no clinical significance. By improving one's own immunity, the virus can turn negative. Currently, oral drugs that enhance immunity can be taken, such as thymosin enteric-coated tablets, compound glycyrrhizic acid capsules, Yupingfeng granules, etc. If there is no lesion, regular examinations should be conducted. If the virus is repeatedly infected for a long time, regular screening and prevention should be performed. Not all cervical cancers have high-risk HPV. It has been found that the main cause of cervical cancer is due to persistent infection of high-risk HPV in the cervix, so women should undergo regular cervical cancer screening. If the screening result is negative, it is recommended to get a cervical cancer vaccine to prevent cervical cancer. HPV-positive high-risk cervical cancer is a more serious condition.

What are the signs of cervical cancer recurrence?

Before recurrence of cervical cancer, there may be increased vaginal discharge, irregular vaginal bleeding or contact bleeding. Some patients may also experience lower abdominal discomfort, bloating, and difficulty urinating. Metastasis in the pelvic cavity may cause corresponding urinary and digestive tract symptoms, such as frequent urination, urgency, and difficulty urinating. Some people may also have abnormal bowel movements. The characteristics of the precursors to cervical cancer recurrence will not have particularly obvious symptoms in the early stage, but with follow-up examinations in the later stage, the characteristics will gradually be discovered.
