How to treat postpartum cervical erosion? 3 clinical methods for treating postpartum cervical erosion

Patients with postpartum cervical erosion can generally use silver nitrate solution or potassium dichromate solution for local external treatment, and can also use erosion suppositories and take traditional Chinese medicine such as Yimu Chuanxiong Decoction with water. If it is moderate or severe erosion, it is best to use physical therapy such as carbon dioxide laser to treat it, and if necessary, a hysterectomy is required to remove the existing lesions.

Women often suffer great damage to their cervix during childbirth. If they do not pay attention to postpartum care, they are prone to cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is a relatively serious cervical disease and must be treated in time, otherwise it may gradually worsen. So how can postpartum cervical erosion be treated to be completely cured?
1. Drug therapy for cervical erosion
1. External medications
When cervical erosion is mild, patients can apply silver nitrate solution or iodine to the affected area, combined with normal saline, twice a week. If the erosion area is large, potassium dichromate solution and Sanisol can be used instead, and vaginal medications such as erosion suppositories and Sadil gel can be used at the same time.
2. Oral prescription
Patients can take Chinese medicine prescriptions that have the effect of promoting blood circulation and eliminating symptoms while taking local external treatment. Generally, Yimu Chuanxiong Decoction can be taken with water decoction, which contains Chinese herbal medicines such as motherwort, Rehmannia glutinosa, Angelica sinensis, Codonopsis pilosula, white peony root and red peony root. Or you can directly take Fuke Qianjin Tablets.
2. Physical therapy for cervical erosion
Clinically, physical therapy is the main treatment for this disease. Among them, the more commonly used therapies are electric iron therapy, carbon dioxide laser therapy, and liquid nitrogen cryotherapy. Physical therapy can effectively promote the necrosis of eroded tissue, causing it to fall off, and can promote the regeneration of cervical tissue. However, it should be noted that although physical therapy has the advantages of obvious efficacy, fast recovery, and less trauma, it has greater side effects and a relatively high chance of recurrence. Therefore, it is recommended that patients choose with caution.
3. Surgical treatment of cervical erosion
If the cervical erosion covers a large area, cervical conization or total hysterectomy may be required, which can completely remove the existing lesions and restore the cervix to its original health. However, once the uterine surgery is completed, it will directly lead to the loss of fertility of the patient. Therefore, for patients who have fertility needs, it is best to avoid surgical operations.
