Why is the leucorrhea a little yellow? 4 reasons why leucorrhea turns yellow

Abnormal leucorrhea is the most common gynecological disease. Once the leucorrhea is abnormal, it will indicate various gynecological diseases. Women should pay more attention to go to a regular hospital to check their leucorrhea. Many diseases cause symptoms of yellow leucorrhea, such as candidal vaginitis, cervical erosion, fungal vaginitis, and senile vaginitis.

Leucorrhea is the most familiar to women. It is not only a natural barrier for women to prevent the invasion of pathogens, but also a mirror of women's health. Normal leucorrhea is milky white or transparent, slightly astringent or odorless. Increased leucorrhea, color changes or purulent characteristics, and yellow leucorrhea are abnormal manifestations, which may be a warning from the body, indicating the occurrence of certain gynecological diseases. So why is leucorrhea a little yellow?
1. Fungal vaginitis
Symptoms: Yellow leucorrhea, typically in the form of tofu dregs or curds, accompanied by genital itching. Most of the time, the texture is sticky, sometimes very thin, with a slight odor. Fungal vaginitis can destroy the normal weakly acidic environment in the vagina. Fungal vaginitis has a higher incidence rate than trichomonas vaginitis, and it is caused by fungal infection. Inflammatory cells can phagocytose sperm, weakening the activity of sperm. Fungi also have the function of agglutinating sperm, so it has a certain impact on conception.
2. Cervical erosion
Symptoms: Yellow, increased, purulent, and odorless leucorrhea. Cervical erosion is caused by inflammatory stimulation. The epithelial cells on the surface of the cervix fall off, and the columnar epithelial cells underneath protrude outward, replacing the fallen covering epithelium. Since the capillaries of the columnar epithelium are exposed, the inflammatory area is bright red, so it is called cervical erosion, but it is not true erosion. Cervical erosion can cause infertility, especially moderate and severe cervical erosion. The secretion will increase significantly, the texture is thicker, and there are a large number of white blood cells, which will have an adverse effect on sperm activity, hindering sperm from entering the uterus and affecting conception.
3. Fungal vaginitis is one of the common vaginitis, often caused by Candida albicans infection, and is more common in pregnant women and diabetic patients. Long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics can cause imbalance of normal vaginal flora, leading to yellow leucorrhea. Young women wearing tight nylon pants will increase the humidity and temperature of the perineum, which is conducive to the growth and reproduction of mold.
4. Senile vaginitis is more common in postmenopausal women. The main symptom of senile vaginitis is increased leucorrhea, usually accompanied by swelling of the lower abdomen and vagina and vaginal burning. The typical leucorrhea is light yellow watery or purulent, has a foul odor, and is often mixed with a small amount of blood.
