Symptoms of cervicitis, endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease

The symptoms of cervicitis, endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease have certain similarities, but they also have unique manifestations. It is necessary to pay attention to early identification and seek medical treatment in time to prevent the disease from worsening.

Typical symptoms of cervicitis include increased vaginal discharge, which may be yellow-green in color and accompanied by an odor. Some patients may feel bloating and pain in the lower abdomen or waist, and contact bleeding after sexual intercourse is also a common manifestation. Endometritis is often accompanied by fever, fatigue, and persistent pain in the lower abdomen. At the same time, abnormally increased menstrual flow or irregular menstruation may be obvious signals. The symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease are usually more complicated. In acute attacks, there will be high fever, chills, severe lower abdominal pain and tenderness in the pelvic area. Chronic inflammation manifests as recurrent dull pain, abnormal vaginal discharge, and worsening dysmenorrhea. The severity of these symptoms is directly related to the spread of the inflammation. If multiple organs are involved, the symptoms will be more obvious.

In order to prevent the disease from worsening, it is recommended to have a gynecological examination and confirm the diagnosis immediately when the above symptoms appear. Timely use of antibiotics such as cephalosporins, levofloxacin or metronidazole for treatment is the key. If necessary, local treatments such as vaginal douching or physical therapy are also needed to reduce inflammation. At the same time, maintain good personal hygiene habits, avoid unclean sexual life, pay attention to keeping the pelvis and lower abdomen warm, and check regularly to prevent recurrence. In terms of diet, you can eat more anti-inflammatory foods such as fruits and green leafy vegetables rich in vitamin C, which will help improve immunity and speed up recovery.
