What are the symptoms of amenorrhea in women?

Amenorrhea is an external manifestation of pathological and physiological changes caused by various diseases in women. It is a clinical symptom rather than a disease. According to the lesions and dysfunctions of the reproductive axis, it is divided into hypothalamic amenorrhea, pituitary amenorrhea, ovarian amenorrhea, uterine amenorrhea and amenorrhea due to abnormal development of the lower reproductive tract.

Amenorrhea means that a woman has not yet reached menopause and should have normal menstruation, but it suddenly stops. The normal menopause time for women is about 50 years old. If it is 3-5 years earlier or later, it is also within the normal range. However, some women have menopause at the age of 40, which is an abnormal phenomenon.

Symptoms of amenorrhea in women are as follows:

1. Many women suffer from amenorrhea due to insufficient secretion of gonadotropin, accompanied by symptoms such as decreased libido, infertility, breast atrophy, and loss of pubic and axillary hair.

2. If amenorrhea is caused by insufficient secretion of adrenal cortical hormones, symptoms such as anorexia, fainting, weight loss, and fatigue will occur.

3. Women with ovarian dysfunction may also experience amenorrhea, accompanied by infertility, obesity, hirsutism and other symptoms.

4. If a woman has a pituitary tumor, she may also experience amenorrhea, but she may also have more obvious symptoms such as obesity, hirsutism, limb hypertrophy, macrocephaly, rough skin, hypertension, and polycythemia.

5. When amenorrhea women have insufficient secretion of thyroid-stimulating hormone, they will develop symptoms such as pale, dry, cold skin, low blood pressure, bradycardia, drowsiness, slow reaction, indifference and dementia.

6. The harm of amenorrhea can lead to reproductive system dysplasia, deformity, and wasting diseases, such as severe anemia and malnutrition. The harm of amenorrhea is very great, leading to reduced female secretions and decreased sexual desire. If you don't pay attention, it will lead to uterine atrophy and infertility.

7. Amenorrhea can be regulated by improving nutrition, strengthening physical fitness, and avoiding mental stress and overwork. If oral contraceptives cause amenorrhea, the medication should be discontinued for observation.
