What is uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse is a gynecological disease that many women are unaware of, but 1-4 out of every 100 women suffer from this disease, so uterine prolapse should attract the attention of female friends. Uterine prolapse brings a lot of inconvenience and psychological pressure to the patient's life.

From the literal meaning, it is not difficult to understand what uterine prolapse is. Generally speaking, uterine prolapse means that the uterus has left the position where it should be. In a normal female body, there will be some related tissues involved in and supporting the uterus, but for some reason, the uterus will drop.

Patients with uterine prolapse often have vaginal swelling, or bladder swelling and rectal swelling. Patients with bladder swelling usually have frequent urination, dysuria or incontinence. Patients with rectal swelling usually have constipation and dysuria. Acute uterine prolapse can cause severe peritoneal irritation symptoms such as severe pain in the lower abdomen, pale complexion, cold sweat, nausea and vomiting.

Symptoms of severe prolapse:

1. Tumor falls out of the vagina: When abdominal pressure increases, the uterus falls out and can recover automatically after rest. When the condition worsens, the prolapse lasts for a long time, and the tumor grows larger, it must be repaid by hand. If the condition continues to progress, the congestion and edema of the shed tissue will not be repaid, making it difficult to walk or even unable to move.

2. Backache and feeling of falling: Patients often feel backache and feeling of falling, and may fall in the anus and vagina. It gets better after bed rest.

3. Urinary disorders: The anterior vaginal wall is complicated with bulging; urination is difficult, and urine is stored and retained, sometimes requiring the uterus to discharge the urine. Others present with stress urinary incontinence, that is, urine overflows when coughing, sneezing, and walking urgently. Due to long-term urine stimulation, the vulva will become inflamed and painful.

4 Uterine changes: Long-term prolapse of the uterus, local thickening, keratinization, and friction ulcers will increase secretions, sometimes with blood.
