Cycling is a very good leisure sport. In addition to being environmentally friendly, it can also achieve the effect of exercise and fitness. However, could the pressure and temperature of long-term bicycle riding affect the health of men's genitals? According to a new study published in the Journal of Urology by researchers at the University of California-San Francisco, the answer may be no. In the study, the authors recruited 2,774 cyclists, 539 swimmers, and 789 runners for an experimental survey, and assessed the subjects' sexual health and urinary-related functions using questionnaires. The results showed that while some cyclists were more likely to develop urethral strictures, those who were classified as doing high-intensity cycling (riding more than 25 miles a day) had better erectile function.
