Beetroot has strong antioxidant power! Nutritionist: Drinking beetroot juice is more nutritious if you "save this one step"

When you walk into a supermarket or an organic store and see beetroot on the shelf, you might think that it is a healthy ingredient, but the next second you might be thinking about how you should cook or process it? ! Let Cancer Care Foundation nutritionist Jian Yuhua share this nutritious superfood with everyone.

What nutrients are in beetroot?

Beetroot is also known as the "natural ruby" and has always been a commonly used vegetable in Western countries. In recent years, it can often be seen in dishes and cooking in Taiwan. The beautiful red color comes from betacyanin, a nutrient with strong antioxidant properties. Beetroot pigments can eliminate free radicals produced by modern people's high pressure, eating out, air pollution and staying up late.

However, in addition to a variety of vitamins and minerals, beetroot is also rich in natural nitrates (inorganic anions nitrate, NO3-), which have been found in some literature to be helpful in regulating blood pressure. Because the human body converts nitrates into nitrites, this process produces another compound called nitric oxide, which in turn helps blood vessels relax. When it comes to the topic of anti-cancer or cancer prevention, you can also see many discussions related to beetroot.

How can you eat conveniently when buying food on the market?

Want to eat nutritiously, but find it troublesome to have your entire table or hands turn red after handling beetroots? ! It would be a shame to give up the super antioxidant beetroot pigment for this reason!

In fact, many channels have vacuum packaging, which makes preparation easier and saves time. But please note that most vacuum-packed beets must be rinsed with drinking water before they can be eaten.

Ruby diet recipes are easy to make

Ingredients for 1 serving

Ingredients: 2 pieces of beetroot, 1 apple, 20 grams of sprouts (other vegetables can also be substituted), 2 tablespoons of nuts, 200~250cc of water.

Method: Blend beetroot with the above ingredients into juice. If you want it to be more refreshing, you can add ice cubes.

Tip: Do not filter out the residue to make it more nutritious.

What can you drink if you have a cold constitution?
