Drinking guava tea to control blood sugar and get rid of diseases of affluence

Diabetes is commonly known as a disease of affluence, and is also known as "xiaoke disease" in traditional Chinese medicine. It is often manifested by "3 mores and 1 less": drinking more, eating more, urinating more, and losing weight. Chinese medicine practitioners point out that regulating blood sugar is the primary treatment goal. In addition to paying attention to diet and exercising more, using yam, tomato, and guava to make medicinal tea recipes can help maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Chen Wangquan, chairman of the Federation of Chinese Physicians Associations of the Republic of China, pointed out that literally, "xiaoke" means consumption and weight loss, while "ke" means easy to feel thirsty, which is similar to what Western medicine calls diabetes. Generally speaking, most patients will use Western medicine as the main treatment and Chinese medicine as a supplement to regulate blood sugar.

3 more 1 less diabetes patients should avoid eating

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the cause of diabetes is "eating fat and sweet foods, excessive emotions, and overwork and desire". Because of the preference for greasy, salty, and sweet foods, coupled with an overworked, overindulgent, and overexcited lifestyle, the body will experience symptoms such as qi deficiency, yin deficiency, and dryness, leading to the risk of diabetes.

For diabetic patients, Chinese medicinal materials such as astragalus, wolfberry, polygonatum, ophiopogon, dendrobium, kudzu root, radix trichosanthis, anemarrhena, mulberry bark, gypsum, and ginseng all have the effect of lowering blood sugar. During the treatment, if the patient fails to strictly abstain from food, the therapeutic effect of the drug will be greatly reduced or even ineffective.

Eat more green vegetables to keep blood sugar stable

Chairman Chen Wangquan emphasized that the secret to stable blood sugar is mainly "diet, exercise and medication" and none of them can be dispensable. In terms of diet, it is recommended to eat more green vegetables, as well as oats, buckwheat, fresh yam, coix seed, water chestnut, white fungus, black fungus, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, spinach, lotus root, bitter melon, eel, etc., all of which have the effect of controlling blood sugar.

At the same time, you should exercise more. It is recommended to take a 15-minute walk after three meals a day to promote muscles to absorb glucose in the blood. In addition to paying attention to diet and exercising more, Western medicine uses drugs to control the disease, and Chinese medicine also has some medicinal food and tea recipes that can help maintain stable blood sugar levels.
